 How To Start Your Own Home-Based Business

 CHAPTER 1  

Once you have decided what kind of small business you would

like to start, there are other important decisions that must be made. 

Decide that your personal computer is a part of your organization and is not

merely for receiving and sending e-mails and playing video games.

Your PC is backbone of your business effort. Your personal computer is an

extension, and an essential part, of your person and the primary

resource tool of your business.You need to set up a business

organization, or structure, where the computer is the center

around which the business revolves.

Business Structure

                   Decision 1. 

                            You need to determine the structure of your business.                  

                           You must decide whether to set up a corporation,                            

                        a sole proprietorship, a partnership, etc., and whether it is for profit,   

                       a non-profit,  or mixed-purpose, etc..     

         .

              2. If you have money you may choose to get legal advice from a lawyer,

                   as well as, business and taxation advice from an accountant, or you

                   could paste " how many kinds of small home-based business

                   organizations are there?" in your browser and search the web.

              3.  Simplify your operation. Decide to keep your business concept    

                             and structure simple so that it will be more manageable. Make yourself

 the Chief Executive Officer and

the Chief Operating Officer.

               4. Decide how large your website should be, i.e. how many pages should

                   constitute your site. The concept of a shopping mall, where each page   

                   represents a store in the mall should be ideal for a non-profit and a

                   for-profit, product and services, kind of website.

              5.  Each page must have substance "content" which will be determined by

                   your interests, skills and abilities, education, training, and experiences.
